Job Description: Panchayat Coordinator

Location: Khunti District

Eligibility:

- Graduation in rural management or a related field

- Awareness of child protection issues

- Preferably from Khunti district

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the Migration Resource Centre:

- Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the Migration Resource Centre in Khunti District.

- Develop and implement strategies to ensure effective functioning of the centre.

- Provide guidance and support to the village facilitators and volunteers working at the centre.

2. Address Child Protection Issues:

- Stay updated on child protection policies, laws, and best practices.

- Conduct research and analysis on child protection issues in the region.

- Work closely with local stakeholders, government agencies, and communities to address child protection concerns.

3. Knowledge of Social Security Schemes:

- Familiarize oneself with various social security schemes available.

- Provide information and guidance to individuals and families seeking assistance through social security schemes.

- Collaborate with relevant government departments and NGOs to ensure the effective implementation of social security schemes.

4. Experience in Child Protection Issues:

- Utilize previous experience and expertise in working on child protection issues.

- Design and implement strategies and initiatives to prevent and respond to child protection issues in Khunti district.

- Conduct training sessions and capacity building programs for local staff, government officials, and community members on child protection.

- Represent the organization and participate in meetings, conferences, and workshops related to child protection issues.

Requirements:

- Graduation in rural management or a related field.

- Adequate knowledge and awareness of child protection issues.

- Preferably from Khunti district or a good understanding of the local context.

- Previous experience working on child protection issues and relevant fieldwork experience.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong organizational and coordination abilities.

- Proficiency in local languages

- Willingness to travel within Khunti district as required.
