Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Officer to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The Accounts Officer will play a key role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting organizational growth and sustainability.


Responsibilities:


•Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

•Prepare financial statements, budget reports, and cash flow projections.

•Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure adequate funding for operational needs.

•Process invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements in a timely manner.

•Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and donor requirements.

•Assist with budget preparation, grant reporting, and audit preparations.

•Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.

•Maintain confidentiality of financial information and protect sensitive data.


Requirements:


•Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

•Proven work experience as an accountant or accounts officer.

•Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.

•Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

•Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

•Excellent organizational and time management skills.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

•Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

•Experience working in the non-profit sector is preferred but not required.
