Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

- The Entrepreneurship Manager at the BIDS central office will be managing the Entrepreneurship HUB.

- He/she will be responsible to oversee the development of the E-Hub and also manages all the matters relating to startups of new business of trained students. - He/she will also be responsible for forging collaborations with external departments/agencies for collaborations and financial support for young entrepreneurs, also develop short and long-term strategies for the entrepreneurship Hub at BIDS.

- Build network with government departments, financial agencies, banks for loans and other services,

- Track and documents the new startups and also promote revolving fund,

- Directly report to Project manager and Executive Director of BIDS

- Coordinate with 6 centres coordinators of training centres,

- Promote new businesses for trained and aspiring young people.

- Organise training, seminars, workshops, conferences,

- attend meetings and training whenever required

- extensively travel to all 6 vocational skill training centres of BIDS

- Follow up of the skilled/trainees and mentor the young entrepreneurs.


Qualification requirement:

- minimum requirement is Dree with rural development and relevant to Entrepreneurship Development

- Master is social development with entrepreneurship development as main subject will be given preference.


Work experience:

- at least 3-5 years of working experience in social development project relevant to Entrepreneurship development

- Preferably who works with the youth in the Northeast region.


Major skills:

- person should be able to work with rural rural youths of Northeast

- Should have good communication skills in English and Hindi, Khasi and Bangoli language will be more preferable

- Good in Documentation and writing success stories

- Interpersonal skills: Good skill to establish rapport and maintain relationships with potential investors, vendors, customers, and staff

- Collaborative skills: should be able to work with others to harness their skills in achieving the goals of the E-Hub and it gaol.

- Computer skills: We are in an era of technological advancement, so it is important that entrepreneurs Manager has relevant skills in computer especially in knowledge of Microsoft applications.


Salary: 30,000.00 as per the project.


Travelling expenses will be taken care by the project.

- applicant who meets the above mentioned requirement from Northeast State who are ready to relocate to Shillong can apply.

- Preference is given to applicant from Meghalaya state.
