Job Advertisement: Project Associate (2 Positions)


Project: ClimACT-Chennai Initiative


Habitat Forum (Inhaf) is currently seeking dynamic and dedicated individuals to join the ClimACT-Chennai Project as Project Associates. The initiative aims to comprehensively study the development of Chennai City in the context of climate change, explore policy options, establish stakeholder partnerships, and engage in advocacy and actions to foster resilience and de-carbonization pathways.


Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu


Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with other Project Associates under the guidance of the senior Leadership team.

2. Conduct in-depth studies in identified sectors related to urban development and climate change.

3. Prepare comprehensive working papers, policy briefs, and other documentation to support project objectives.

4. Establish collaborative relationships with government officials, subject matter experts, and civil society organizations.

5. Lead advocacy campaigns, including organizing workshops, meetings, webinars, and contributing articles to the media. Assist in various project-related activities as required.


Qualifications:

1. Post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline.

2. Minimum of 3 years of research and/or work experience.

3. Proficiency in Tamil is essential.

4. Good understanding of urban development and climate change issues and policies.


Remuneration: Commensurate with qualifications, experience, and capabilities.
