Mobilizer - Skill Development and Livelihoods Programme

Sofia Educational and Welfare Society is a Delhi based non-profit organization with its head office located in North-East Delhi. The organization has been working in the area of education, skills development, livelihoods, healthcare, violence against women and girls, and declining child sex ratio.

Requirement

Sofia is looking for Mobilizer for its livelihoods programme in North-East Delhi. The programme provides a range of vocational training to youth in Digital Marketing and Customer Relationship and Sales. The Mobilizers would be responsible for sensitizing community, mobilizing youth to engage them with the Skill Development and Livelihoods Programme. S/he would be responsible for holding community based events, create awareness about skill training and livelihoods and finally enroll them at the training centre.

Professional competencies and personal attributes:

• A graduate degree preferably in public relations/social work.

• Should have relevant and practical experience of working with community around skill development and livelihoods programme (minimum 3 years).

• Good writing and communication skill in Hindi.

• Should have working knowledge of MS Office, Power Point and Excel.

• Candidate should be a good team worker and willing to work under pressure, and on deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the process of community mobilization; carry out community based activities such as one-to-one meetings, FGDs, public meetings and community based events.

• Expand community outreach, mobilize gatekeepers and identify trainees for the enrolment.

• Facilitate enrolment of trainees and endure their retention.

• Maintain MIS, prepare profile of trainees and case studies/success stories.

• Form community based groups and facilitate its meetings.

• Meet officials in family courts, Delhi Commission for Women and concerned departments, as and when required.

• Collate materials for monthly, quarterly and annual reports, and other publications.

• Help in organizing public meetings and events.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in NGO sector.

Salary: Rs. 20000/-
