District Coordinator: The personnel will be operating from the district the DC is based. The DC will be responsible to manage a cluster of 1-2 approved Districts in the State of Gujarat for the PON project, with frequent travel to the other districts responsible for as well as in the blocks & villages.
Responsible for 1-2 cluster of districts
Travels: 70-80% in the districts
Travel per district can be 18 -20 days in 1 month.
During visit days field visit for program quality monitoring both program, IPC, TGs & Field team
2 days in PON district/block office for other project work.
• Meeting the district officials (CDHO, DPO ICDS, Health & DRDA)
• Sharing monthly update to the ICDS
• Participating in any relevant district meetings or activities
• Hands-on training to the DC, BCs & FDs on all the stakeholders IPC
Responsible districts will be visited in a cyclic manner as per the monthly travel plans. If needed the districts responsible for will be visited need based as well as directed.
Qualification and Experience:
• Post-Graduate/graduate in Social Sciences/Development Studies/Rural management/ Sociology/ Communication or any other equivalent degree with training in Health & Nutrition Programmes with 5 years’ experience.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Gujarat specially rural & fluency in local language with good written skill specially Gujarati & English languages.
• Knowledge of issues related to Community Mobilization, Maternal & child health, Child Nutrition, and Hygiene.
• Experience of working with large scale implementation programmes
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, multi tasking, self-confidence, energetic and a strong spirit of teamwork
• Ability to plan and organize a substantial workload that includes complex diverse tasks and responsibilities related with the project.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Planning and timely Implementation of the programme activities in the cluster of districts responsible for.
• Ensure delivery of the programme activities/actions vis-à-vis quality and targets set for the cluster districts responsible
• Managing & monitoring the field teams as per the structure-their attendance, hands on training, reviewing the team’s performance, ensure completion of targets and quality of the actions performed by the team
• Representing and participating in different district & block level forums/events/trainings and meetings specially, health / hygiene and nutrition committee/DRDA meetings & updating the Block/District
• Field monitoring of the team & submission of reporting formats to the reporting manager
• Weekly monitoring the project target as set, TG out reach and IVRS registrations
• Collate MIS reports(as per the project developed), tracking of progress vis-à-vis the project targets
• Identify program gaps & extend support to the team.
• Support in building the capacity of project team- Induction training, SBCC training and Programme visits
• Lead the training of vendors and other stakeholders as and when required
• Lead on District and Village Launch and follow the processes set in
• Network with other development partners in the districts/blocks
• Participate in district level review meetings and present project progress
• Document the best practices, Case stories and lessons learned
• Ability to handle front line team workers and supporting them in developing their capacity building.
• District & block level IPC & missed call registration data analysis
• Discussion with the team- target review, gaps, challenges
• On line weekly meeting with the team
• Review of the Attendance, log in & log out analysis
• Other responsibilities as and when assigned
