Applications are invited for the post of Project Senior Research Scientist at the Healis Sekhsaria Institute for Public Health, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Position: Project Senior Research Scientist

Time allocation: Full-time

Organisation Location: Mahape, Navi Mumbai

Project & Work Location: Sindhudurg, Maharashtra

Tenure: 11 months, extendable up to 3 years based on performance.

Salary: Negotiable

Essential Qualifications:

• BDS/MBBS with a master’s degree in public health/MDS (Public Health Dentistry)/MD (Community

Medicine) from a recognized university.

• Minimum four years of work experience from a recognized institution.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience in project management.

• Proficient knowledge in epidemiological studies (experience in oral health research is desirable).

• Knowledge of interventional research and experience in working with health systems.

• Experience in conducting population studies, planning, and executing community studies, and Intervention studies in the field of Public Health.

• Experience working with government departments, especially in education and health will be an added advantage.

• Knowledge of qualitative research and experience in conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), In-Depth Interviews (IDIs), Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), etc.

• Proficiency in Marathi Language is essential.

• Proficiency in computer applications, data management, report writing, data mining, and working

• with databases.

• Experience in managing and maintaining databases for research projects.

• Candidates with previous research publications will receive preferential consideration

Job Description:

• Manage & coordinate multi-centric field studies.

• Engage with the Health and Education district-level functionaries for effective implementation of project activities.

• Overall management of the project and day-to-day management of the district-level project staff.

• Convene meetings and write minutes, coordinating with sites and research institutes in consultation with Project PI.

• Independently initiate and handle public health research data.

• Perform any other tasks assigned by the competent authority or the PI of the Project.

• The position requires local travel within the Sindhudurg district and other sites in India
