2. Leading the design and implementation of a knowledge management and
communication strategy for the UP Pneumonia & Diarrhoea Project
3. Implementing innovative approaches to disseminating information and learnings to
project partners and stakeholders including the Government of UP
4. Liaising with other local and state networks on knowledge sharing for childhood
pneumonia and diarrhea
5. Coordinating with Government of UP to develop strategies for larger child health
initiatives including IAPPD and Child Death Review
- The Strategic Planning Specialist shall collaborate with the Team Leader and Project Director/Deputy Project Director in the following:
1. Coordinating with stakeholders to propose pneumonia and diarrh
- Completed Masters/PhD level degree in Social Sciences, Program Management or a related technical field - Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a techno-managerial capacity in the development sector
Post Graduation - Post Graduate-Other
- Fully fluent in English and Hindi
- Excellent computer skills
- Technical knowledge and experience in public health programming and
experience developing and implementing a techno-managerial strategy; experience
in child health programs would be a strong asset
- Experience working with government/policy makers in the health sector
- Experience designing and implementing strategic communication plans
- Experience with technology platforms required to implement a knowledge
management strategy
- Experience with mentoring, team building, and facilitation approaches
- Leadership and organization skills
- Ethnic, cultural, gender, religious, and socioeconomic status sensitivity
- Demonstrated analytic skills
- Good understanding of Indian health care systems with knowledge of Uttar

India Health Action Trust (IHAT) aims at improving public health
initiatives by supporting programs nationally and globally through
providing comprehensive technical assistance in program planning,
management and monitoring. IHAT has set up a Technical Support
Unit (TSU) for the Government of Uttar Pradesh to provide techno-
managerial assistance to improve the coverage of key reproductive,
maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition (RMNCHA+)
interventions and services in the state from the funding support of
Bill & Melinda Gate Foundation (BMGF) through University of
Manitoba (UOM), Canada
