Job brief

We are looking for a competent Project Assistant for Project Vanavil to be implemented by Kalanjiyam Trust in an all-girls Government Higher Secondary School in Chennai (West) for supporting the students in their development and future planning. The Project Assistant will support in planning and organizing programs and activities and support the school officials in operational duties for the high School/ higher secondary students. The Project Assistant will be placed in School full time, and will report to the Project Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Support the coordinator in planning and implementing project activities in the school

• Assist in conducting assessments of students, parents and teachers, as needed

• Building rapport with the school students, their parents, teachers & school authorities.

• Responsible for mobilizing the students for project activities, and organize in coordination with school officials

• Organizing meetings for program activities

• Preparing monthly plan of activities.

• Support to HM on agreed upon activities, including some administrative work.

• Providing support for activities in other project school as well, as required

Requirement and skills

• Preferred qualification graduate in any field with 1 year experience working, preference for those with experience working with adolescents & school children.

• Functional knowledge in MS Office basics

• Ability to work with teams

• Good time-management and organizational skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills
