Job scope and responsibilities


Purpose of the Job – The purpose of the Dojo Trainer/ Two wheeler trainer role at Aasraa Trust is to facilitate the teaching of Dojo techniques to students enrolled in our Skillability Center. This role serves as a pivotal link between theoretical knowledge and practical application, aiming to equip individuals with the skills and confidence necessary to thrive in various industries.

Objective of the role The primary objective of the Dojo Trainer is to impart essential skills and knowledge to students, enabling them to master Dojo techniques and apply them effectively in real-world scenarios.

role Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Timings 9:30 am to 5:30pm


Key Responsibilities


1. Training Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging and informative training sessions on Dojo techniques to students enrolled in the Skillability Center. Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, to facilitate effective learning.


2. Curriculum Development: Design and update training materials and lesson plans for Dojo training modules. Ensure that training content is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with industry standards.


3. Skill Enhancement: Work closely with students to assess their learning needs and provide personalized guidance and support. Help students develop proficiency in Dojo techniques through practice, feedback, and reinforcement.


4. Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress and performance throughout the training program. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure learning outcomes and identify areas for improvement.


5. Student Engagement: Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Provide encouragement and motivation to students to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.


6. Collaboration: Collaborate with other trainers, instructors, and staff members to coordinate training activities and ensure a cohesive learning experience for students. Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as needed.


7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment results. Generate reports to track training effectiveness and communicate outcomes to relevant stakeholders.


Note: Additional smaller coordination-related tasks may arise based on Trust’s requirements.


Education and Experience Guidelines



Education Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as education, training, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.

Core experience • Proven experience in teaching or training, particularly in a technical or vocational setting.

• Strong knowledge of Dojo techniques and their practical applications in industrial environments.

Preferable Knowledge/Experience • Familiarity with curriculum development and practical application of Dojo techniques.

Competencies Required • Technical competencies: Proficiency in Dojo techniques,

Curriculum development skills.


• Behavioral competencies: Strong communication.

Adaptability, Empathy, Patience and Passion for learning.

Aasraa then worked with the river bed community to promote the need for education and started an after school project to augment school education. Project Street Smart was started on the pavements of Astley Hall in 2011 with a group of 5 street children. The objective was to keep the children off the streets and provide them with basic literacy through art, craft, music and audio visual medium. Today, Aasraa works towards empowering street and slum children through education, vocational training, nutrition, medical care and providing shelter homes. Our mission is to level the playing field for children who have neither seen books nor stepped into a school.
