Our “After-School Club” (ASC) program enriches community education with three key initiatives: preparing “out-of-school” children for academic readiness, offering after-school support to enrolled students, and encouraging participation through parent engagement and incentives like school supplies, daily meals, and health check-ups, enhancing overall educational experiences.


Job Description:

  • Setting performance objectives for students and teachers
  • Implementing and monitoring school policies and safety protocols
  • Overviewing administrative tasks (e.g. updating student records)

To succeed in this role, you should be able to make quick decisions under pressure and have a comprehensive understanding of the national education system and its regulations. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are also important skills you should demonstrate as a principal.

Role Overview:

The Program Manager at Vision Unlimited plays a pivotal role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs aimed at achieving the organization's mission. They will oversee multiple projects, ensuring their successful execution while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints. The Program Manager will work closely with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to drive impactful change and sustainable development within the community.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day slum school operations
  2. Set learning goals for students and teachers based on national curriculum.
  3. Monitor and report on teacher & student’s performance
  4. Present data from school performance to founder and board members (ppt & word format)
  5. Research and implement new resources and techniques to improve learning outcomes
  6. Interview and hire school personnel
  7. Review and implement school policies
  8. Provide guidance and counselling to teachers and parents
  9. Create and Manage yearly & monthly budgets
  10. Handle emergencies and school crises
  11. Organize school events, assemblies and various extra-curricular activities
  12. Ensure a safe and clean environment for students (e.g. implementing hygiene rules)
  13. Conduct home visits and various surveys as instructed by the Founder


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES :

Qualification:

  1. Degree in Education or similar advanced degree, from a reputed academic or professional institution.
  2. Experience:
  3. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with progressive leadership exposure;

Skills and Competencies:

  1. Knowledge of school administrative processes and national educational regulations
  2. Hands-on experience with MS Office and education management systems
  3. Great presentation and communication skills
  4. Crisis management
  5. Ability to coach and inspire
  6. Demonstrated skills in leading diverse work teams and implementing organization - wide operational and managerial processes across a broad geography;
  7. Knowledge and experience in curriculum development and implementation, school development, and people management
  8. Outstanding interpersonal skills, including exceptional oral and written communication skills;
  9. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the Board of Directors;
