Introduction

PML SD Business School Chandigarh was set up in 2020 with the vision of creating and disseminating holistic value-based management education for building and grooming future leaders. The Institution is promoted by GGDSD College Society Chandigarh and is envisioned as a center of excellence for management education and is heading towards becoming a unique and different B- School from the run of the mill management institutions.

 

About GGDSD College Society

Established in 1973, the Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College (GGDSDC) the college has been awarded A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The institution is bestowed with the status of ‘A College with Potential for Excellence’ by the UGC. The GGDSD College Society has built the reputation of being an excellent centre of education in Union Territory of Chandigarh and adjoining states. A large number of its Alumni are occupying senior positions in the Corporates in India and overseas or successfully running their own ventures.

Reason for the hire

PML SD Business School is looking to appoint a seasoned, dynamic and passionate professional as Director to deliver on the vision of the centre. The Business School was set up in 2020 to propagate holistic value-based management education for building and grooming future leaders. The Director will play a key role in contributing to the fulfillment of Management’s vision and mission of becoming a ‘Unique and Different B-School’. This is a replacement role.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

·The Director provides academic leadership and administration to the school under the overall guidance of a highly distinguished Board of Governors and Advisory Council.


·    Director of the school is a key position that will contribute to the fulfilment of Management’s vision and mission of becoming a ‘Unique and

Different B-School’.

·    Being a Stand-Alone Autonomous Business School offering PGDM, appreciation and adherence to rules and regulations of the regulator i.e., AICTE is an important aspect. Making and keeping the school AICTE compliant requires Director’s indulgence.

·    Promoting the school for enrolment of quality students and recruitment of enlightened faculty.

·    Building the internal norms and MIS for smooth and seamless operations for effective monitoring and compliance.

·    Integration of Academics and ICT. The Director along with his/her team will need to explore the possibilities of designing and delivering on-line courses.

·    Getting the school aligned with national/international institutions for faculty exchange, research, student immersion and Twining programmes etc.

·    Preparing the school for national (Including National Board of Accreditation NBA)/ international accreditation with the passage of time.

Must Haves

·    Ph. D. degree and First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch

·    At least two successful Ph.D. guided as supervisor / Co-Supervisor and minimum 8 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals.

·    Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching / research/ industry, out of which at least 3 years shall be at the post equivalent to that of Professor.
