Job Summary:

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Hotel management, BBA/MBA, MSW preferred. General B.Sc. with experience in developmental sector or marketing will be considered.

• Must have Computer Knowledge

Experience:

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in agro-processing, agriculture,Marketing, developmental sector, value chain, etc will be considered.

• Experience designing and conducting training modules.

• Experience conducting capacity building with agribusinesses and/or community groups.

• Fair geographical knowledge.

• Ability to spend maximum time in field sites.

• Flexibility with regards hours/days of work

• Fair knowledge of the local context

• Proficiency in driving is a required(2 Wheeler/4 Wheeler)

Key Responsibilities:

• Build capacity of agricultural enterprises to perform market-oriented processing for value addition of target commodities.

• Assist agribusiness entrepreneurs and enterprises, including farmers’ organizations, in identifying and applying appropriate value addition and processing technologies.

• Help to establish and/or strengthen community-based groups, associations, cooperatives, and enterprises for processing

• Provide technical and business development services to food processing groups, associations, cooperatives, and enterprises to ensure they are functional, sustainable, and able to meet food safety and regulatory standards

• Collecting samples, where possible, for subsequent inspection

• Excellent communication in English is essential. Understanding Hindi language is desirable
