Job Description

Job Responsibilities are as follows:

1. Interact with the survivor and provide orientation to make sure the survivor is comfortable.

2. On the order of concerned authorities, visit homes of the survivors to conduct home study reports.

3. Maintain records of every session with the survivor

4. Co-ordinate with the counselor and bring forth mental health concerns, if identified

5. Gather information regarding survivor’s education and vocational training status along with her interests

6. Prepare individual case files with a rehabilitation plan

7. Deal with survivor’s difficulties with compassion and empathy

8. Attend meetings held by concerned authorities and furnish relevant information whenever required

9. Following up with survivors as per the guidelines of the scheme

10. Accompany the survivors as directed

11. Establish linkages with related departments and voluntary organizations to facilitate rehabilitation and re-integration of the survivors

12. Develop a pre-release & post release plan for the survivors exiting the shelter homes keeping in mind their best interests.

13. Maintain relevant documentation as mandated by the guidelines.

14. Any other duties assigned by the resident superintendent.


Qualification: Graduate degree preferably in Social Work/Sociology/psychology/social sciences/LLB or a equivalent degree from a recognized university

- At least 2 year of experience working with Govt./NGO/ legal matters preferably in the field of Women and Child Development

- Proficiency in Computer
