Job Description

Position: Project Officer (Community Engagement and CBOs)


Purpose of the Job: Community development Project implementation, Community SWOT Analysis, Capacity building and Institutional Strengthening, Coordination and collaborative approach to address social security, health programs and other measures in liaison with Government and development agencies.


Location: Dhenkanal, Odisha


Key Responsibilities:

? Community Engagement: Ability to engage with local communities and Community-Based Organizations

(CBOs) effectively and able to establish a good rapport with them.

? Capacity Building: Skills in building the capacity of community members and local organizations.

? Networking: Capability to establish and maintain networks with community stakeholders.

? Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts and facilitate consensus-building within communities.

? Presentation and Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse community groups,

using culturally sensitive and inclusive language. Effective communication skills in English is highly preferred.

? Analytical Skills: Capacity to assess community needs and strengths through data collection and analysis.

? Team Cohesion Abilities: Ability to collaborate with other project officers and community members to achieve common objectives.


Experience:

? Total work experience more than 3 Years.

? 2-3 years in project implementation in Rural Community development project - community mobilization

and institution building.

? Experience in Fund raising for Not-for-profit organization will be an added advantage.

? Age: Less than 45 Years.


Skills & Knowledge:

Must Have

? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Rural Development, Development

Administration, or related field.

? Minimum of 2 years of Relevant experience in thematic program management, preferably on community

issues in the development sector.

? Language: Odia & English fluency must.

Desirable

? leadership abilities with ability to work in diverse teams and fostering collaboration.

? Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and

measurable outcomes.

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively

with stakeholders at all levels.

? Potential for resource mobilization, including grant writing, donor relations, and budget management.

? Well versed with project management, monitoring and evaluation, and data-driven decision-making.

? Familiarity with government programs and policies related to rural development and community

empowerment.

? Commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a passion for driving positive change in rural

communities.

? Experience in use of PRA Tools, Data collection, survey, Family counselling and group work.

? Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other data analysis tools.

Salaries Offered: Approximately, the monthly salary range is between 32-35K, depending on your experience and skills.
