Your Challenge:

At Jansahayog, you’ll be using your professional skills and experience to help restore to urban poor communities and to their dignified living life. Jansahayog has a holistic approach to development based towards slum dwellers rights /urban poor issues framework with community empowerment as a key ingredient. Janasahayog also places strong emphasis on coalition/networking with community-based organisation and advocacy efforts to influence macro policies for urban poor and unorganised sector workers.

Your Role:

As a person in this position, you will be the link between Janasahayog and its projects operational area in the state of Karnataka. Your responsibilities will include planning, monitoring and evaluation of supported initiatives, reporting and documentation – donor approach, proposal writing, assessing and providing for team capacity building needs, scheduling meetings, environment scanning, Budgeting and programmatic intervention, team/district level strategy development, data monitoring and program development.

You:

• You must be a Post – Graduate in Social Work, Sociology or Rural Development from a reputed institute.

• You must have 7 years’ experience in the field of urban or rural development, having experience in planning, monitoring and evaluating projects, program level intervention, advocacy, interfacing with the government and other stakeholders.

• Excellent documentation skills and analytical skill.

• Strong written and oral communication skills in Kannada, and English is a must. (Read, write and speak).

• Experience of having worked with communities within the state of preference would be an added advantage.

• You should be willing to travel.

• A candidate must be from Bengaluru only.
