Job Description

Job responsibilities:


1. Should be able to maintain daily books of accounts.

2. Physical verification and management of cash

3. Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.

4. Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staffs.

5. Verification and assisting in timely disbursals of monthly grants to beneficiary bank accounts

6. Knowledge about calculating staff leave status and summary of monthly salary disbursement.

7. Knowledge of HR and admin matters.

8. Knowledge of Provident fund and TDS deducted from staff salary and from vendor’s payments and ensuring timely payment of the same.

9. Knowledge of preparing and reviewing budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.

10. Maintaining fixed asset registers.

11. Collection and verification of bills/ utilization invoices from the field areas.


Qualification and desired expertise:


1. Must have a degree in accounting (B.Com/ M.Com)

2. Should have a minimum of three- four years' experience.

3. Should be able to deliver assigned tasks within the set deadlines.

4. Must have experience of working with NGOs.

5 Understand and be fluent in the use of Microsoft software applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Tally and other financial/accounting systems

6. Should be willing to travel to outstation projects as and when needed.
