Job Title: Program Associate - Operations & Admin Support

Location: Sewri/Parel, Mumbai

About Us: Samya India is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals to homeless communities across Mumbai. We are an early stage organization looking to expand our programmes and develop allied interventions for underserved and marginalized communities.

For our current operations, we run an industrial kitchen that serves 200+ meals a day. We are looking for a dynamic individual who loves planning, efficient execution and working with diverse stakeholders.


Position Overview:

The Program Associate will manage operations, provide administrative support, and oversee recordkeeping for our feeding program. This role will involve coordinating food procurement, meal preparation, distribution, and maintaining accurate program records.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Kitchen Operations:

o Coordinate procurement of raw ingredients and liaise with local vendors for

the industrial kitchen.

o Plan and oversee meal preparation with the kitchen team, ensuring

compliance with health and safety regulations.

o Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and equipment.

2. Food Distribution:

o Support the execution of food distribution drives in the community.

o Ensure equitable and efficient distribution of meals to homeless individuals

and families.


3. Recordkeeping and Documentation:

o Maintain accurate records and accounts of program activities, including meal

drives, volunteer involvement, and other initiatives.

o Prepare regular reports on program outcomes, challenges, and opportunities.

o Provide administrative assistance to program managers and the program

team as needed.


Qualifications:

? Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.

? Previous experience in kitchen operations or administrative roles is advantageous.

? Interest in social impact/previous volunteering or community engagement

experience is a plus

? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

? Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

? Proficiency in MS Office suite and data management tools.
