BHITTIBHUMI SEVA SANGATHAN is an NGO working in Bargarh Dist. of Odisha in the Consumption of resilient Orphan Crops & products for Healthier Diets project with support of the different state. Bhittibhumi is a part of -The global programme The Green evaluation pathways to transforming food system in India. Bhittibhumi is currently recruiting a Marketing and Value chain Expert under the CROPS4HD project in the Bargarh Dist. Of western Odisha.

Position: Pull Coordinator (Marketing & Value chain Expert)

Education Qualification: The candidate should be a Post graduation in Agri-business management/Agricultural Economics/ Rural Management/ Rural marketing or MBA

Work Experience: The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of active engagement and experience working with local rural communities on Diversifying livelihoods and development solutions through the development & management of microenterprise development projects. Agribusiness promotion. And value chain Development. He/She should have experience in enterprise promotion, buiseness advisory service, and forward and back word linkage.

Preferred skill set:

1. He/She have experience in developing and implementing organic farming on agro ecological practice, value chains, and enterprise strategies.

2. He/She should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written).

3. He/She should have knowledge and skills with MS word, outlook, PowerPoint, and excel.

4. He/She should have skill in documentation and reporting in English and Oriya.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Support market & value chain mapping and analysis and share recommendations.

2. Analyze the enterprise and provide recommendations to increase competitiveness in the market and market linkage. At the local level. Identify key value opportunities and develop strategies for marketing production in relevant value chains.

3. Develop or adapt training packages including modules on value chains, marketing & market linkages.

4. Provide technical support for market mapping and analysis of the key input and marketing of the products/ produce to FPOs.

5. Develop business plans for provide handholding to FPOs.

6. Facilitate access to markets by establishing market linkages between the community/ FPOs and private/public partners for products/produce.

Salary: Rs 35000 to 40000

It was founded in 2001 by a few local social activists of Kuchinda sub-division of Sambalpur district. It started working with the tribals of the sub-division since 1999 but the idea to get it formally registered was motivated by a few academicians, lawyers and a few socialist leaders. It was registered under the foreign contribution registration Act in 2009. Overtime Bhittibhumi has expanded its work to many parts of Western Odisha either directly or through collaborations.
