Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the eye hospital, including patient services, clinical operations, facilities management, and administrative functions, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
2. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and protocols to standardize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance quality of care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
3. Collaborate with department heads, medical staff, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the hospital's operations in alignment with organizational priorities and mission.
4. Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and patient satisfaction scores to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
5. Lead strategic planning and expansion efforts to establish new vision centers, satellite clinics, and outreach sites in underserved communities to increase access to eye care services.
6. Develop and implement outreach strategies, programs, and initiatives to engage community members, local leaders, and partner organizations in promoting eye health awareness and preventive care.
7. Coordinate outreach activities such as eye camps, screening events, health education sessions, and vision correction campaigns in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Lead initiatives to improve patient flow, reduce wait times, and enhance the patient experience through process improvements, workflow optimization, and technology solutions.
9. Collaborate with finance and budgeting teams to develop and manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
10. Manage budgets, resources, and logistics for outreach activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness, transparency, and accountability in resource allocation and utilization.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare operations management, preferably within a hospital or healthcare facility, with increasing levels of responsibility.
3. Strong understanding of healthcare operations, including patient flow, clinical processes, facilities management, and regulatory requirements.
4. Proven track record of leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving in a complex healthcare environment.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
6. Experience with project management methodologies, process improvement initiatives, and change management principles.
7. Knowledge of healthcare information systems, electronic medical records (EMR), and other technology solutions used in healthcare operations.
8. Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including medical staff, administrators, and support staff.
9. Commitment to the mission and values of the our eye hospital, with a passion for serving underserved communities and improving access to eye care services.
10. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to address operational needs and emergencies.
