About the Center: Maher Neev Boys Shelter is a residential home located in Kopar Khairane / Navi Mumbai, currently it houses 35 boys all of whom attend local schools (mostly English medium and a few Marathi medium). The boys are in the age group of 6 to 17 years old.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching Role (80%):

• Support students in Medium and Secondary education levels to properly follow their school programs and excel in their studies;

• Identify special individual learning needs and support students with the same;

• Check school homework and clarify doubts daily;

• Take learning tests weekly;

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth monthly;

• Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the curricula requirements;

• Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning and well-being of all students;

• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Admin Role (20%):

• Support other staff members in order to maintain administrative and educational reports.

Skills Required:

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree with a track record of robust academic

performance;

• Preferably, minimum 2 years of experience specifically in teaching middle and secondary classes up to 9th standard students is preferred;

• Proficient command of the English, Hindi and Marathi language.

Additional Information:

• This role requires you to commit to a minimum of two years;

• Our boys come from disadvantaged backgrounds and poor academic support and therefore they require special support in order to close their learning gaps;
