Job Description

Key Responsibilities –


Implementation and monitoring of Aftercare/ Livelihood program with young adults who are leaving care -


1. Understand the need, resources, and opportunities to develop after-care & and livelihood opportunities for all youths leaving care.


2. Facilitate through Career awareness and counselling to prepare an appropriate individual aftercare plan.


3. Facilitate potential career opportunities (Skill training/Higher Education) in the local context for the potential young adults who are moving out of their childcare institution.


4. Facilitate and supervise Employment opportunities.


5. Regular monitoring and mentoring support to all youths who are part of the program by making regular follow-ups and field visits to the CCIs, Aftercare homes, and training institutes.


6. Ensure the evaluation, tracking, and measuring of the growth/benefit of the youths and the progress of the program in the allocated cluster.


7. Help the institution’s Trustees/in charge and staff to align with CSA’s key objective and work approach for aftercare.


8. Provide regular program progress updates to the reporting Manager and Central Team.


Management of Quantitative & Qualitative Data of all the programs -


1. Record basic and key information on CCIs, young adults, and various interventions under aftercare space

2. Update and analyse various aftercare activities and facilitate data-based decision-making

3. Maintain the young adults In and Out database in the portal

4. Provide case studies, write-ups, and supporting materials - photos/videos to share the stories for internal and external communications.


Budget & Vendors Management –

1. Prepare, manage, and review annual and day-to-day budgets for the allocated young adults

2. Ensure budget utilization and regular tracking

3. Selection of local vendors with an economic solution for all allied CCIs. Also, ensure timely quotation submission and bill settlement.



Internal & External Stakeholders Management –

1. Coordination with internal stakeholders across all locations – support, updates, and best practices.

2. Relationships and coordination with CCI trustees and staff, local govt. relations along with other stakeholders -CWC, DCPO, Police, Lawyers, Social workers, local NGOs, etc.

3. Organizing different capacity-building and sensitization training for respective stakeholders

4. Build and develop partnerships with various Training Institutions, Placement agencies Job skilling Programs, and NGOs working in the space.




Personal Specification:


Must have:

• Bachelor's/Master’s Degree preferably in Social Welfare.

• Minimum of 2-3 years. of experience working in the development sector.

• Ability to manage and analyse data.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Self-starter with a willingness to ‘get your hands dirty

• Travel is a must in the Bhubaneshwar Region (Within Bhubaneshwar, Puri, Cuttack, Khordha, etc.)


Preferred:


• Program Management experience preferably in livelihood or youth programs.
