Job Description

Position: Counsellor cum Coordinator (Full-time)

Location: Delhi/NCR


Education and Experience:


The counsellor should be a Post-graduate in, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology or in any related fields and trained in counselling with a minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in counselling and working with children for their wellbeing.

Knowledge of working in destitute care, trauma care, arts therapy would be a plus. The counsellor is required to coordinate the activities of the program and also lead a team of volunteers and interns.

The position is Full-time.

Excellent ability to engage with the team, support staff and capacity to make decisions.

Good communication skills including skills on digital platforms or social media.



YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:


Encourage children to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, helping them to develop insight into themselves and their relationships.

Plan, organise, and lead structured programs of counselling, work, study, recreation, and social activities for children.

Counsel children, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.

Guide children in the development of coping skills or strategies for dealing with their problems.

Collect information about children through interactions, observations, or tests.

Prepare and maintain documentation based on required records and reports.

Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling programs on children' progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives.

Overall management capacity to monitor, report and guide a team of volunteers/interns.

Dealing with parents and other caregivers.

Coordinating in other administrative tasks.

Overlooking other Snehi projects:-

Assist the Helpline Coordinator with Helpline and Training coordination.

Making reports and following up on behalf of Snehi.

Visiting institutions/organisations and associations for fundraising, training and advocacy.

Managing training sessions from beginning to end and events.

Helping Social Media team and IT team with material (from Balbhavan).

Engaging and coordinating with Volunteers to carry out events and programs of Snehi in Balbhavan and other areas of involvement of Snehi.

Attending internal meetings of Snehi.

Attending meetings of Snehi for collaboration and coordination with other organisations.

Preparing relevant documentation.

Do any other incidental task as and when the case maybe.


SALARY

32,000 INR (Non-negotiable)
