Job Description

Fieldwork for research


•Conduct site visits across multiple states and lead data collection using quantitative and qualitative methods, including ethnographies, at frequencies based on the research design.


•Conduct fieldwork monitoring exercises to ensure data quality.


•Conduct data checks to ensure data quality.


•Knowledge generation and dissemination.


•Conduct data cleaning and prepare data for analysis.


•Generate insights from primary data, including case studies.


•Conduct secondary research as required, for reports and papers.


•Support the dissemination of research findings via blogs and academic papers along with other members of the research team.


Capacity building


•Work with other members of the research team and training team to strengthen training programmes for personal assistants and social workers.


•Support the development of training tools and courses based on research findings.


•Facilitate training sessions for a range of stakeholders, such as personal assistants, community members, panchayat members etc

C) Additional responsibilities


•Support other team members with annual reports, newsletters, donor proposals, grant submissions and press liaison, with quick turnaround and timeliness.


•Fortnightly coordination of visitors and field visits hosted at The Banyan, supervision of interns, handling emergency client responses on request from the care team, support towards relief efforts in case of disasters etc.


•Support towards the organisation of events, including webinars, lectures and annual conference.
