Job Description

Key Responsibilities-

Communications:

? Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to promote the

NGO's mission, programs, and activities.

? Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communication

materials.

? Maintain and update the NGO’s website content to ensure it is current and

engaging.

? Coordinate with various departments to gather information and create cohesive

communication materials.

Social Media:


? Manage and grow the NGO’s social media presence across platforms such as

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.

? Create, schedule, and publish engaging content including text, images, and videos.

? Monitor social media channels for engagement, respond to inquiries, and foster

community interaction.

? Track and analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and

strategies.

Documentation:

? Document the NGO’s activities, events, and success stories through photos, videos,

and written reports.

? Develop and maintain a comprehensive archive of media assets including

photographs, videos, and publications.

? Prepare reports, case studies, and other documentation required for donors,

partners, and stakeholders.

? Ensure all documentation is accurate, well-organized, and accessible for future use.

Content creation and storytelling: Generate compelling and impactful content for various

communication channels. Write press releases, articles, blog posts, and other materials to

highlight the organization's achievements, initiatives, and impact. Develop captivating

stories that resonate with different audiences and showcase the organization's work.

Analytics and reporting: Monitor and analyze communication activities, including social

media metrics, website analytics, and media coverage. Prepare regular reports and provide

insights to improve communication effectiveness. Utilize data-driven approaches to refine

strategies and tactics.

Qualifications:

? Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

? Proven experience in a communications role, preferably within the non-profit sector.

? Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.

? Proficiency in social media platforms and tools, and experience in managing social

media accounts.

? Ability to create multimedia content including graphics, photos, and videos.

? Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects

simultaneously.

? Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

? Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic web design principles

is a plus.

Additional Skills:

? Graphic design skills and proficiency with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative

Suite).

? Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp).

? Basic understanding of SEO and web analytics.
