Location: Gonda/Balarampur/Bahraich/Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh

Vikramshila Education Resource Society, established in Kolkata in 1989, is dedicated to ensuring quality education for all children across India. We collaborate closely with government bodies and stakeholders to implement effective education programs. Our initiatives span Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), Functional Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), primary and upper primary education, life skills development, and more, impacting thousands of teachers and children annually.

Under the leadership of Mrs. Shubhra Chatterji, a renowned educationist, we contribute significantly to educational policy and curriculum development nationally.


Position Summary:


Join our mission to strengthen and expand preschool education and FLN in Uttar Pradesh's Devipatan division. As Assistant District Coordinator, you will collaborate with government officials, teachers, and anganwadi workers to mobilize efforts towards universal education and inclusivity for children with disabilities.


Key Responsibilities:


•Implement programs effectively within the assigned district.

•Collaborate with teachers and Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) to enhance classroom quality.

•Activate teacher academic groups (Sankuls) in respective blocks.

•Plan and organize program activities aligned with project goals.

•Coordinate with block Education and Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) functionaries for quality ECCE.

•Collaborate with Area Resource Persons (ARPs) and Supervisors for supportive supervision.

•Participate in block-level government trainings and meetings.

•Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

•Organize meetings, workshops, and events for effective communication.

•Document and organize program-related information.

•Support monitoring, evaluation, and implementation of recommendations.


Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:


•Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, development studies, education, or related field.

•1-3 years of experience preferred; fieldwork experience is advantageous.

•Understanding of local governance structures and education policies.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•Strong organizational and time management abilities.

•Team player with a proven track record of independent work and delivering results.

•Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

•Adaptability and flexibility in adjusting plans and approaches.

•Proficiency in common computer software applications.


Compensation and Tenure:


•Compensation: INR 3.6-4.2 LPA (based on experience).

•Tenure: 18-month contract role.
