About the Program: Building Climate Resilient Village

In order to cope with the change in climate, EcoPrism will design and implement a a comprehensive integrated model ‘Climate Resilient Village’ (CRV) in Benipur Khurd Village of Haruaha block of Varanasi. The programme will aim to promote affordable and replicable adaptation and mitigation practices to enhance livelihood of vulnerable communities and explore alternative farming practices. The programme will be designed on the key principles of climate literacy and sustainability while working with the local community to design localised solutions that will bring behaviour transformation among key stakeholders for climate positive actions. EcoPrism Collective Foundation will strengthen its work with marginal Farmer’s to adopt climate-smart agricultural practices and production to ensure food security as well as boost their annual income. The Multipurpose Education Environment Centre will engage with the Women SHG group in enhancing their knowledge and skills for economic independence while adopting green livelihood. ECOPRISM will work with/enable a set of Eco Change Makers to design and implement integrated programme based on the key principles of climate literacy and sustainability through individual and collective actions:

• ADOLESCENT’S CLUB: Adolescent’s clubs to lead the efforts to influence neighbourhood communities to promote sound environmental behaviour and taking up meaningful environmental projects.

• FARMER’S CLUB: Farmer’s Club to bring the farmers together to adopt climate-smart agricultural practices and production to ensure food security.

• WOMEN’S CLUB: Women ’s Club to create economic independence among rural women while breaking gender barriers and providing access for sustainable livelihood practices

About the Role

Programme Fellow being part of the Ecoprism Collective team and will work closely with, youth farmers and community members and will be responsible for implementing community led activities in selected villages. Programme fellows will capture information, data, stories and insights from the field and will share in the form of documentation and report.

Roles and Responsibilities:


Programme Implementation

• Take responsibility for effective program delivery in community, review and monitor the implementation with team lead.

• Take responsibility of programme operations and logistics in respective village as per organisation guidelines.

• Ensure that any incidents of child abuse, child marriage or any other violation of child rights are reported to the team lead

• Build relationship with influencers and community members for effective implementation of programme

• Participate in team progress review on continuous basis, give and complete feedback loop.

• Serve as a role model at all times among community to share learning and to exchange skills

• Make regular visits and meeting with community stakeholders.

• Facilitate process and conduct activities for farmers club, women’s club, youth club and community level engagement.

• Develop and conduct change projects for youth, farmers and Women’s club


Content Development and Capacity Building

• Participate and co- facilitate training sessions with Community stakeholders

• Contribute in developing and customize relevant content for programme delivery.

• Contribute in designing training programme and training modules.

• Synthesize insights from training into meaningful and actionable steps. Bring in field insights into the capacity building and content design and review.

• Organise meetings and workshops with community stakeholders


Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare and Share monthly reports with the team lead.

• Implement monitoring tools as per the project framework.

• Capture and document the progress of program activities and best practices/ case studies

• Adhere to data management plan and systems for School/community program and contribute effectively

• Support coordination of baseline/ endline and other assessments.

• Ensure on regular basis data is updated in the database.

• Ensure block/school/community level reports are prepared and shared.


Qualification and Experience:


A Graduation degree in social science or other development disciplines, with 0-2 years of work experience preferably who have worked with women, youth and farmer and engaged with community directly

• Good verbal and written communication skills in Hindi/English

• Ability to capture and write
