Position Title: Senior Manager-Finance


Reporting: Vice-President Finance and CEO


Location: Delhi (work from office)


Education: bachelors or Masters degree in finance, accounting, or related field


Experience/ Skills:


Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the non-profit sector or Experience of working with CA (Chartered Accountant) firms


Necessary Skills


• Thorough knowledge of bookkeeping, filing, Tally, and FCRA Act, and other NGO compliances

• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively

• High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in using financial software and tools.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.,

• Ability to Multi-Task

Job Role:


Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager Finance to lead our finance team in a non-profit organization (NPO) setting. The Senior Manager Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the

organization, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, compliance with FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) and other relevant regulations, and managing the team's day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and compliance in the non-profit sector, with a proven track record of delivering results. The key deliverables will include (but not limited to) the following:


Team Management:


• Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, supervision, and mentoring to team

members.

• Ensure proper delegation of responsibilities and efficient coordination among team members.

• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and

knowledge.

• Establish performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide feedback to team

members.

• Promote a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and a strong work

ethic among team members.

Financial Management:

• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements, analysis

of financial data, and providing timely and accurate financial reports to management and

stakeholders.

• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines, and

providing strategic financial planning and analysis.

• Ensure compliance with FCRA and other relevant regulations governing the financial operations

of non-profit organizations.

• Manage all aspects of accounts and payroll, including timely processing of bills/vouchers,

proper accounting in Tally, approval of cash and cheque payments, bank reconciliation, and

salary disbursements.

• Review and verify various documents, agreements, and contracts, and provide expert financial

advice and analysis to management.

• Prepare audit working papers, schedules, and supporting documentation, and manage the

annual audit process.

• Ensure timely filing of returns for income tax, E-TDS, RBI, Companies Act, and other statutory

requirements.

  • About Organization:Mr. Ashok Verma, Mr. Suresh Gupta and Mr. Jitender Kapoor were all classmates till the completion of B.Sc graduation from Ramjas College, Delhi University. Mr. Ashok Verma was having bandage on his leg and had problem in walking too. Later on this was diagnosed as Hemophilia. Ashok and his family used to stay in Sadar area and later in the 1960s, he shifted to Sonepat. It was sometime during 1979, Ashok had severe bleed in his leg and it was untreatable in India. As providence would have it, Ashok’s younger brother, who was a senior Officer in Indian Navy, met Prof. P. M. Mannucci (Italy) in a flight, when he conveyed the problem of Ashok. Prof. Mannucci offered to treat him in Italy free of cost, but other expenses had to be borne by Ashok. The Verma family and his friends collected funds and made it possible to send Ashok for treatment to Italy. He stayed there for 3 months and the leg below knee was amputated. It is during this time, Prof. Mannucci suggested to Ashok to work for
