Looking for: Field Coordinator, Project SHAKTI

We work to improve the quality of education and currently running some programs in the Early

Childhood Education. We operate mainly from Pune.

Project SHAKTI

We work with 55 Anganwadis in the Mundhwa and Hadapsar clusters of Pune to strengthen Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Anganwadis through our intervention with the Anganwadi staff and ICDS officials. Our core activities include conducting quarterly Anganwadi Teacher and Helper Training on ECE along with regular on-site support by our team of well-trained Field Coordinators.

Nature of work

1. Fieldwork (Anganwadis): Anganwadi visits, observing classroom activities in Anganwadi,

maintaining observation diary, demonstrating different activities in Anganwadi,

discussing with Anganwadi workers and helpers, giving constructive feedback, testing, etc.

2. Fieldwork (Parents): Facilitating/attending parent meetings, supporting parents to

conduct ECE activities at home, home visits, data collection, conducting surveys, testing,

etc.

3. Training: Active participation in training and other meetings and bit meetings.

4. Documentation: Timely preparation of reports, Daily Accounting, and Administration work

when required, and photo and video documentation on the field.

5. Other: Communication and collaboration with the team and participating in organizational

work, as and when required.

6. Travel: Fieldwork is the indivisible part of the work and will need to go to the field daily. The

candidate may need to travel outstation for work and exposure occasionally.

Requirements:

• Graduate/Post Graduate in any stream (Education/Social work/development studies will be

an added advantage).

• Experience in Early Childhood Education and community-based organizations will be an

added advantage.

• Ability to connect with people.

• Strong communication skills- Fluency in Marathi is mandatory.

• Ability to handle difficult situations with confidence.

• Positive attitude towards learning.

• Computer proficiency – MS Office, Excel, online communication, etc.
