Job Description

The Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD), Government of Kerala, invites applications for the position of Project Coordinator for the "Strengthening Family Reintegration and Preventing Re-institutionalization of Children - a Project Assisted by UNICEF in Three Districts of Kerala through effective social protection linkages"

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project planning and implementation across three districts (Kannur, Thrissur, and Kottayam)

2. Stakeholder coordination and convergence

3. Resource development and management

4. Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting

5. Support de- institutionalization and family-based alternative care interventions

Qualifications and Experience:

- Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Child Development, or a related field from a recognized

university

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management, preferably in child protection, family

welfare, or social protection (including post-qualification internships)

- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities

- Proficiency in computer applications and data management tools

- Familiarity with relevant laws, policies, and social protection schemes in Kerala

Duration: Initial contract for 6 months, with possibility of extension based on performance and

project requirements

Location: Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, with frequent travel to Kannur, Thrissur, and Kottayam

districts
