ECOPRISM Collective Foundation is a non-profit organization incubated by the alumni of Social Work Students from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India with the objective to collectively contribute towards building healthy ecosystems that can enhance education advancement, people's livelihood, counteract climate change and stop the collapse of biodiversity. Registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs as Non-Profit Organization and Headquartered at Varanasi (UP), the organization focuses on climate literacy to empowers learners of all ages to make informed decisions and take individual and collective action to change society and care for the planet.

About the Program: Building Climate Resilient Village

In order to cope with the change in climate, EcoPrism will design and implement a a comprehensive integrated model ‘Climate Resilient Village’ (CRV) in Benipur Khurd Village of Haruaha block of Varanasi. The programme will aim to promote affordable and replicable adaptation and mitigation practices to enhance livelihood of vulnerable communities and explore alternative farming practices. The programme will be designed on the key principles of climate literacy and sustainability while working with the local community to design localised solutions that will bring behaviour transformation among key stakeholders for climate positive actions. EcoPrism Collective Foundation will strengthen its work with marginal Farmer’s to adopt climate-smart agricultural practices and production to ensure food security as well as boost their annual income. The Multipurpose Education Environment Centre will engage with the Women SHG group in enhancing their knowledge and skills for economic independence while adopting green livelihood. ECOPRISM will work with/enable a set of Eco Change Makers to design and implement integrated programme based on the key principles of climate literacy and sustainability through individual and collective actions:

• ADOLESCENT’S CLUB: Adolescent’s clubs to lead the efforts to influence neighbourhood communities to promote sound environmental behaviour and taking up meaningful environmental projects.

• FARMER’S CLUB: Farmer’s Club to bring the farmers together to adopt climate-smart agricultural practices and production to ensure food security.

• WOMEN’S CLUB: Women ’s Club to create economic independence among rural women while breaking gender barriers and providing access for sustainable livelihood practices

About the Role

The Programme Associate will work as part of the Ecoprism Collective team. He/she will work with other team members to ensure efficient and effective implementation of projects undertaken by Ecoprism Collective Foundation in Varanasi.

Roles and Responsibilities:


Programme Implementation

• Take responsibility for effective program delivery, review implementation, monitor within the agreed standards at block level.

• Support programme management by ensuring the consistency of the implementation in program design to meet the programme objectives.

• Guide and Monitor implementation team for the effective delivery of programme outcome and results

• Lead the Monitoring and Review process with implementation team.

• Manage programme operations and logistics,

• Ensure that any incidents of child abuse, child marriage or any other violation of child rights are reported to the program lead


Relationship Building and Stakeholder Management

• Develop and sustain the relationship with the partner organisation and relevant government departments

• Develop and sustain relationships with the PRI members and Community influencers for the effective delivery of programme

• Coordinate effective field visits for the Donors and Government functionaries to understand the progress of the program being implemented.

• Lead and participate in various program events to raise the profile of the organisation at district level.


Team Management

• Manage the team by ensuring that they are clear on the programme goals and objectives and they are contributing to and on their roles and responsibilities.

• Support and mentor the team as part of their professional development and help them to be highly effective in their work.

• Serve as a role model at all times and ensure that the team works together to share learning and to exchange skills
