Job Title- Program Coordinator

Location – Bhopal

Youngshala is a diverse group of youth committed to Indian constitutional values. Our space, Youngshala, encourages open discussions on various issues, fostering a sense of togetherness. We offer a library with books on competitive exams and social issues, and create "Learning-Sharing-Spaces" for interaction with social activists. By addressing societal issues and building capacity, we aim to evolve into a collective force for transparency and accountability in governance. Our goal is to empower youth to initiate social change and develop individually, creating a chain reaction of socially aware citizens.

Key Functions & Responsibilities

• The Program Coordinator will ensure efficient management of the projects through proper planning, coordination, review; monitoring and evaluation under the supervision of the Program Director and will be responsible for the technical and operational support activities.

• Supervise and provide handholding support to centre coordinator and involved volunteers on a regular basis in conducting activities, training and implementing the project activities especially the youth and community-based activities

• Organize innovative outreach activity in different college of Bhopal.

• To facilitate discussions among the youth on constitutional values.

• Preparing proposals and budget and ensure efficient and effective utilization of grants as per the approved budgets.

• S/He will plan, organize, coordinate, and facilitate training programs, exposure visits and related activities for organization’s staff, volunteers and stakeholders to deliver the project goals.

• Regularly document reports, success stories, keep photos and short mobile video clips, create information for social media handles and website of the organization. Prepare case studies, anecdotes for internal usage. Preparing report to back donors.

• To support staff to promote youth friendly and gender sensitive systems and policies in the organization and to build strong networking with the young people of various institutes.

Skills & Competencies

• The job holder is required to travel for program/project related activities, in the program areas as well as exposures to other areas.

• Owning Smart Phone/ Laptop

• Capable of riding motorcycle/scooter, owning one of them, and possessing a valid license.

• Ability to read, write, speak Hindi and English.

• Experience of English speaking and writing will be an advantage.

• S/He must be social media friendly and able to handle young people.

Education & Experience

1. Post Graduation in Social work or Sociology or any other relevant sectors.

2. 2 years of experience in an NGO sector and other sector especially with young people.

3. Knowledge of working on Constitutional Values or Youth Participation & Development.

4. Basic IT skills including Microsoft office (word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.

Salary- 22000 per month
