Job Purpose


Nila is looking for a production assistant responsible for carrying out the tasks assigned by the production manager. Candidate would be responsible for smooth execution of the production order and trainings by coordinating between teams and the various artisan communities, organisations and vendors


Roles and responsibilities


Production assistant will support the Production Manager and perform following duties.


• Understand the current processes of the organization and assist in implementation accordingly

• Assisting in creating and monitoring production plan

• Create and monitor all official documentation/records needed for training and production projects including file notes, PO’s, contracts, production tracker etc

• Establish and maintain fabric library record for effective sourcing/counter sourcing of variety of fabric

• Supporting Production manager in order management and supplier invoices.

• Working closely with in-house design, inventory and sales teams.

• Coordinate with store executive to issue raw materials to various suppliers and to receive finished goods with proper documentation

• Working with artisan communities, organisations and suppliers (across India) to agree on quality standards, price, delivery timelines, and ethical production issues.

• Assist in reviewing samples and communicating changes and approvals

• Quality inspection at RM, semi-finished and finished goods level.

• Assistance in community trainings

• Assist in the project implementation activities by maintaining the proper records and documents for each training.

• Field visits for the monitoring purposes-training and production


Qualification


• Graduate or postgraduate preferably from design/apparel institute

• Experience of minimum 3 years, working in a textile/garment manufacturing unit

• Experience in working in the craft sector is beneficial


Other Skills


• Sound IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet, google forms)

• Interest to work with rural community.

• Good command over languages like English and and Hindi

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills

• Good report writing skills.

• Multitasking ability

• Should be a team player.

• Open to travel

• Open to learn and explore

• Keen on hands on activities


Location: Nila House, Centre of Excellence, Jaipur


Job Status: Full Time/ Internship


Timing: 10 am to 6 pm


Working days: 6 days Monday to Saturday
