Role Overview:

The Monitoring & Evaluation Manager at [Name of NGO] is responsible for designing and implementing robust monitoring and evaluation systems to track program effectiveness, measure impact, and ensure accountability to stakeholders. They will lead efforts to collect, analyze, and report data on program outcomes, facilitating evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks: Develop comprehensive monitoring and evaluation frameworks aligned with program objectives and donor requirements. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop data collection tools and methodologies. Design data management systems to ensure accurate and timely collection, storage, and analysis of program data. Data Collection and Analysis: Oversee data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and site visits. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess program progress, identify trends, and measure impact. Conduct regular data quality assessments to ensure the reliability and validity of collected data. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular progress reports, evaluation reports, and other relevant documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Communicate findings and recommendations to program staff, management, donors, and partners. Ensure compliance with reporting requirements outlined by funding agencies and donors. Capacity Building and Training: Provide training and technical support to program staff and partners on monitoring and evaluation methodologies, tools, and systems. Build the capacity of stakeholders to effectively collect, analyze, and use data for decision-making and program improvement. Learning and Knowledge Management: Facilitate learning sessions and knowledge-sharing events to promote reflection, learning, and innovation within the organization. Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories to inform program design and implementation.
