Job Description

Outreach Workers function under the supervision of more experienced and educated colleagues. They typically spend most of their time in the field providing support, resources and referrals to youth who have run away, are homeless, or at high risk of becoming homeless. Generally these needs involve locating food and shelter, finding employment and obtaining medical or mental health services. Regular contact with government agencies that offer relevant services is required, in order to provide accurate information to those in need. Workers usually document their interactions with clients in order to monitor and evaluate the success of their program.
