Position: Research Associate- Community Mental Health Program

Type: Full-time position (hyrbid- on site & off site)

Location: Pune


We are looking for a Research Associate to join our team and assist in conducting research studies in the field of Community Mental Health.

Role Description

This is a full-time Associate Researcher role at Parivartan Trust, located in Pune with flexibility for some remote work. As an Associate Researcher, you will be responsible for designing evaluation research studies for different programs conducted by Parivartan Trust for persons with mental illness and addiction disorders. The associate will work in collaboration with the research team members.


Roles and Responsibilities:

•Designing ethical evaluation research studies

•Conduct literature review

•Developing data collection tools, managing field staff for data collection, analysis & interpretation

•Train team members on data handling and analysis techniques.

•Ensure the team adheres to best practices in data management and analysis

•Clean and organize raw data for analysis.

•Conduct thorough and detailed data analysis to support various research projects.

•Perform statistical analyses using tools such as R, Stata, or SPSS.

•Create detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.

•Write high-quality research reports contributing to the body of knowledge in public health and development.

•Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.


Key Qualifications and Requirements:

•Educational Qualification: A Master's degree in Public Health or a related field along with Bachelors in Medical or Allied Sciences (eg: MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, etc. ) is required. A PhD is desirable.

•Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience in using R, Stata, or SPSS is required. Knowledge of qualitative data analysis software: Weft QDA, NVivo, desirable.

•Preferred Experience: Candidates with prior experience in community mental health or addiction disorders will be preferred.

•Language Proficiency: Fluency in both written and spoken English is desired. Fluency in spoken Marathi is preferable.

•Experience: 2-3 years experience in public health research.

•Compensation: CTC is negotiable and will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the incumbent.

•Availability: We have a preference for candidates who can join immediately.
