Job Description

Job Role Summary: The Access Technology Consultant at the XRCVC is crucial to the success of the centre and its offerings. The consultant ensures smooth running of equipment at the centre along with staying abreast of the latest technology available for Persons with Disabilities in the market and developing an understanding of ways of incorporating them.


Location: Mumbai

Time Commitment: Full Time

Reporting to: Lead Consultant Technology


Key Job Areas:


- Technical, Research & Support in the area of assistive technologies

- Maintain the technical health of hardware and Assistive Technologies at the centre

- Provide technical support to staff

- Build insight on new technologies in the market through ongoing market research and testing

-Create, plan, prepare and execute training conducted at the centre

- Accessible E-Book content, creation and testing

- Testing and evaluation of accessibility of websites, apps and products

- Be a team player and support the XRCVC in its diverse initiatives


Education and Work Experience


- Graduate/Post-Graduate in Science or related fields

- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in the field of Technology and Management (preferred). Freshers are also welcome

- Knowledge of available technology

- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English, Marathi and Hindi an added asset)

- Strong analytical skills

- Be a keen learner

- Proficient use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets)

- Intrinsically motivated by the vision and mission of the XRCVC
