Job Description: - For Program Manager – Special Needs


Department: - Education


Objective: - The program Manager – Special Needs will be responsible for designing and delivering with special needs kids in the classrooms and implementing the learning adaptabilities to the kids and positive behavioural changes and development.


Roles and Responsibilities:


1. Develop and oversee the implementation of the special need’s kids.

2. Carry out the assessments of the special needs kids to identify and monitor the progress in the kids.

3. Provide regular updates on the progress of the kids through written reports and meetings to the management.

4. Implement and monitor individual support with the learning plans of the teachers.

5. Ensure proper utilization of educational materials by the kids.

6. Coordinate with the other organisations and experts to deliver the kids with more facilities to learn like health and social care providers, speech and language therapists and many more.

7. Give proper feedbacks to the kids for their development through the teachers and proper suggestion the managements for kid’s development.

8. Manage and advise on the budgets and resources available and can be projected.

9. Develop and maintain systems for keeping kids records with accuracy and up to date.


Skill and Knowledge required:


1. Minimum Graduate in Special Education with an experience of 3 years at a managerial level.

2. Good analysis skills and understanding of human behaviour.

3. Proficient in computer skills

4. Must be a team player and have a leadership skill.

5. Self-motivated and self-driven

  • About Organization:Aasraa Trust was established as a social work trust focusing on education of underprivileged children in 2009, in response to a crisis for intervention for the welfare of children from the riverbed slum under the Bindal bridge. Aasraa then worked with the river bed community to promote the need for education and started an after school project to augment school education. Project Street Smart was started on the pavements of Astley Hall in 2011 with a group of 5 street children. The objective was to keep the children off the streets and provide them with basic literacy through art, craft, music and audio visual medium. Today, Aasraa works towards empowering street and slum children through education, vocational training, nutrition, medical care and providing shelter homes. Our mission is to level the playing field for children who have neither seen books nor stepped into a school.
