Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement strategies to engage communities and adolescents effectively.

-Facilitate the creation of change agents and support the scaling of Social and Behavior Change (SBC) programming across Maharashtra, starting with Mumbai.

-Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SBC strategies and provide recommendations for improvements.

-Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners to foster collaboration and support for SBC activities.

-Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to partners in Social and Behaviour Change.

-Forge and maintain partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, civil society organisations, and youth-led initiatives.

Skills

-Fluency in Marathi is non-negotiable.

-Excellent spoken and written skills in English and Hindi.

-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work inclusively with diverse partners.

-Familiarity with theories, tools, and approaches of SBC.

-Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with database management.

Educational Background

Master's degree or equivalent in social and behavioural science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, political science/international development, public policy, education, communication, or related social science field.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in social development program planning, communications, public advocacy, or related areas, preferably including experience in a developing country.

Experience working with young people is essential.

Experience within government systems and programs, or with the UN or other international development organisations, will be an asset.
