Overview of Programme:

With the aim of further reaching to more and more people and empowering the marginalized community, VVS is going to work in 9 districts of 4 states-MP, Rajasthan, HP and Uttarakhand in 3 regions-, arid ,semi-arid and mountain especially with marginalized and vulnerable community. The objective of this programme is to increase livelihood options and food security of poor and vulnerable communities and also increase leadership qualities and institutional capacities of CBOs/POs. The programme is focused with issues of concern like livelihood and food security, climate change induced disaster & impact on agriculture and gender discrimination.

VVS invites application for the following position;

Position: Documentation & Compliance Associate (02)

Location: Shivpuri MP, Dehradun UK

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles applicable to NGOs, income tax Act, labour laws, FCRA etc., sound working knowledge of Tally ERP, and possess good analytical and communication skills. Good knowledge of voucher documentation and project activity report-training, meeting typing in Hindi /English. The candidate will necessarily need to have passion for our mission and a strong desire to work in a dynamic non-profit organization. Have a very high level of personal and professional integrity, consistency to thrive with commitment at work and trustworthiness.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Assist programme Coordinator/programme team to develop annual Plans & budget, quarterly plans & budget, Cash flow and fund requirement as per the project requirement.

• Develop expenditure statements and variance analysis periodically.

• Knowledge of voucher documentation and familiar with activity of non-profit organization.

• Assisting in making payments and receipts as necessary for the projects and entering in Tally ERP.

• Making necessary journal entries as per standard procedures, creating cost centers for demarcating expenses as per funding agencies

• Prepare daily petty cash book and monthly expense statement.

• Adhere to the Organization’s Accounting and Financial compliance procedures.

• Preparing vouchers, verify bills/ invoices across the projects.

• Ensure filing of all hard copies of Bills/invoices and supporting.

• Preparing bank reconciliation statements periodically.

• Ensure statutory payments like PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS etc. are made on time.

• Overall Internal Financial Control Implementation in field offices.

• Sound Knowledge of Income Tax Act and labour laws, FCRA.

• Maintenance of books of Accounts in Tally ERP.

• Assisting in Internal and External Auditors.

• Assisting in Project Reporting and Project Compliances.

• Work closely with Programme Coordinator and assist field staff on budget/accounts.

• Work cooperatively and effectively with others to achieve programme objective, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.

• Maintain proper files in relation to accounts and other office management like HR, assets etc.

• Assist in other office management, HR and Administrative work at project filed offices.

• Any other duties as assigned by Programme Coordinator.


Qualification: Graduate in Commerce/Master’s degree in Commerce from reputed institute. Compliance with all applicable laws including ESI, PF, Gratuity, Income Tax, FCRA etc. for strengthening the financial management system.


Experience:

• Experience of minimum 2-3 years of working independently on similar kind of work in an NGO/social development sector is essential.

• Knowledge of government compliances, rules and acts related to NGOs.

• Proficiency in Tally software, MS office (word, excel, power point).

• Good in communication in Hindi and English.

• Readiness to travel.

• Take responsibilities, accountability in timely and quality execution of work assigned.


Salary/remuneration: CTC will be approx. 26,250/- per month however it will be commensurate with the qualifications, skills and work experience. Field travel cost will be reimbursed as per the organizational guide line/policies and this will be exclusive of the salary. Other social security benefits like provident fund etc. will be applicable as per government guideline.
