Title: Kalam Fellow

Location:Delhi

Duration:12 months (including 2 months of orientation and training)

Stipend: INR 25,000 per month for 10 months (no stipend during the 2-month training period)

About the Kalam Fellowship

The Kalam Fellowship program is designed to create a cadre of young leaders equipped to address the diverse challenges facing our nation. Inspired by the visionary Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, this fellowship aims to harness the potential of India's youth, fostering personal transformation and enabling them to contribute significantly to nation-building efforts.

Fellows will engage in ground-level initiatives, working towards impactful changes and gaining invaluable experience to lead complex public systems in the future. This program represents the Leadership Foundation essential for driving India's progress.

Key Responsibilities

Kalam Fellows will be assigned to one of three focus areas:

1. Policy Research:

- Collaborate with researchers to provide high-quality research and support for various initiatives.

- Conduct in-depth policy analysis and generate insights to aid in decision-making processes.

2. Governance:

- Work alongside top bureaucrats and District Collectors to assist in the effective implementation of governmental schemes.

- Develop initiatives to enhance district-level governance and public service delivery.

3. Social Impact:

- Partner with grassroots organizations or NGOs to uplift societal living standards.

- Ensure effective delivery of services and drive systemic reforms from within the community.

Eligibility Criteria

- Must be a graduate and Post graduate as of May 31, 2022.

- Must be under 35 years of age as of December 31, 2024.

- Demonstrated commitment to public service and nation-building.

- Strong analytical, research, and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent English written and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and in teams.
