The Cluster Coordinator will serve as the on-ground coordinator that implements the project at the grassroot level ranging from interacting with participants as well as screening them for breast cancer and engaging in patient navigation for all suspects within its designated cluster.
Specific job responsibilities for the CC include:
1. Community Engagement: Building relationships with local community organizations, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to promote breast cancer awareness and screening initiatives.
2. Education and Outreach: Conducting community outreach programs to raise
awareness about breast cancer, including risk factors, signs and symptoms, and the importance of early detection through regular screening.
3. Screening Facilitation: Perform breast cancer screening at outreach camps along with providing support and guidance to individuals who are suspected.
4. Follow-up Support: Navigating the patient to understand next steps, access additional diagnostic testing, and connect with appropriate healthcare providers.
5. Advocacy: Advocating for policies and programs that improve access to breast cancer screening and treatment services within the community.
6. Data Collection and Reporting: Documenting outreach activities, screening outcomes, and community needs to track progress, evaluate program effectiveness, and inform future interventions.
7. Empowerment and Support: Empowering individuals to take charge of their breast health through self-examination, lifestyle modifications, and proactive healthcare-seeking behaviors.
