Job Title: Program cum Account Officer


Location: Madhubani,Bihar.


Reports To: ED/ Secretary

Salary: 18000 pm


Job Overview:


We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Program cum Account Officer from nearby Madhubani or Darbhanga district of Bihar to manage and support the financial and operational aspects of our NGO programs. This dual role involves coordinating program activities, managing project finances, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social impact, possess strong organizational and financial skills, and be able to work effectively in a dynamic and mission-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Program Coordination:


• Project Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, including timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation. Coordinate with program teams to ensure activities are on track.

• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for program-related communications, liaising with donors, beneficiaries, and internal teams to ensure alignment and transparency.

• Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E): Support the M&E team in tracking project progress, collecting data, and preparing reports. Ensure that program activities are documented and evaluated according to NGO standards.

• Event Coordination: Organize and manage program-related events, workshops, and training sessions, ensuring that all logistical aspects are covered.

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks to program implementation and work with the team to develop mitigation strategies.


Accounting and Financial Management:


• Budget Management: Prepare and monitor program budgets, ensuring that expenditures are in line with donor requirements and project goals. Track expenses and maintain detailed financial records.

• Grant Management: Assist in the management of grant funds, including preparing financial reports for donors, tracking disbursements, and ensuring compliance with grant agreements.

• Invoicing and Payments: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and reimbursements related to program activities. Ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including variance analysis and budget forecasting.

• Audit Support: Assist in preparing for financial audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation is available and that financial practices comply with organizational and donor standards.


Qualifications and Skills:


• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting B.Com/Finance, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Experience in the NGO sector is highly desirable.

• Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in project coordination and accounting, particularly within an NGO or non-profit organization.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Darpan upload,FCRA ) and project management tools. Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial reporting.

• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, prepare detailed reports, and provide insights to improve program financial performance.

• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey financial and programmatic information clearly to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, particularly in managing financial records and documentation.

• Ethical Standards: High level of integrity, commitment to transparency, and adherence to ethical financial practices.
