Job Description

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

o Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.

o Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

o Develop and monitor budgets for various projects and departments.

o Prepare financial forecasts and variance analysis.

3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

o Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.

o Ensure timely payments to vendors and collection of receivables.

4. General Ledger Management:

o Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts.

o Ensure accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.

5. Compliance and Audit:

o Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

o Coordinate and support external and internal audits.

6. Payroll Processing:

o Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.

o Manage employee benefits and deductions.

7. Grant Management:

o Track and manage grant funds and expenditures.

o Prepare financial reports for grantors and ensure compliance with grant requirements.

8. Financial Policies and Procedures:

o Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.

o Ensure adherence to internal controls and best practices.

9. Inventory and Asset Management:

o Manage and account for organizational assets and inventory.

o Conduct periodic physical verification and reconciliation.

10. Financial Training and Support:

o Provide financial training and support to staff as needed.

o Assist in developing financial literacy and awareness within the organization.

11. Taxation and Statutory Compliance:

o Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and timely filing of returns.

o Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the organization.

12. Financial Systems Management:

o Maintain and upgrade financial management systems and software.

o Ensure data integrity and security.

13. Coordination and Communication:

o Collaborate with project managers, department heads, and external stakeholders.

o Provide financial information and reports to the management team.
