Job Overview:
The Finance Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization. This role involves financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis to ensure financial stability and compliance with regulations. The Finance Officer works closely with senior management to provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensure effective cash flow management and optimize liquidity.
Accounting and Reporting:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for financial performance improvements.
• Assist in the development of long-term financial plans and strategies.
Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements(including tax one).
• Manage internal and external audits, and address any identified issues.
• Monitor financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Team Management:
• Supervise and mentor finance staff, providing guidance and support.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
• Oversee training and development of finance personnel.
Stakeholder Communication:
• Liaise with secrtetary and external partners regarding financial matters.
• Present financial information and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
• Address financial inquiries and provide support to other departments.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or similar professional certification preferred.
Experience: Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, with a strong understanding of financial management and reporting(atleast three years).
Skills:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understand tally and work on it.
Knowledge: Knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and best practices in accounting.
