General Position Summary
AARAMBH is a development organization working in Madhya Pradesh since last 32 Years. We are mainly working for the welfare of vulnerable Children, families and the Community at large. Presently we have our intensive presence in twelve Districts of Madhya Pradesh.
AARAMBH is seeking an Accountant to overall manage the Project Accounting System
The Accountant will be responsible for:
• Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payments, reporting and other tax requirements,
• Develop, maintain, analyse budget, preparing periodic report that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
• Making use of current computer technology specially on accounting system
• Maintaining all book of accounts as per the AARAMBH financial guideline and donor’s requirement.
• Responsible for all office-based records and register and registers (stock, spares, accounts, log book, visitor’s books, attendance, etc).
• Prepare timely monthly Financial Reports of Donor Partners and comply time line every month in consultation with Project Coordinators/ Project Lead persons
• Preparing statement as required by projects formats and time table and submitting to PC and CEO for verification and onward transmission to donor Agencies.
• Preparing bank reconciliation statement and budget monitoring sheets and sharing it with the team.
• Preparing all reports related to finance and maintaining all records
• Timely process of IT Returns and filling of TDS and other mandatory compliances
• Completion and make the necessary arrangement for Annual Audit report of Projects and Society.
• Comply of Audit and Financial Monitoring Reports observation if any.
• Reporting to Chief Functionary time to time.
Financial and HR Responsibilities
1. Ensure timely reporting of financial budgeting.
2. Monitor and verify budget utilization on a monthly/quarterly basis and submit report to the Manager Project operations & CFO
3. Check and verify project team monthly attendance, leave and the movement Register on a monthly basis.
4. Coordinate with PC and Project team for the timely execution of the project and submission of activities related bill/vouchers and settlement of advances.
Safeguarding
• Ensure safeguarding principles are followed in programme implementation, training etc in coordination with Project Director.
• Ensure safeguarding documents, like policy, POSH policy, are shared and explained with all the parties (Partners, Vendors, and Suppliers etc.) in coordination with state programme leads.
Minimum qualification & transferable skills:
• Master Degree in Accounts/ MBA in Finance
• At least 6 - 7 years of relevant experience working with NGO Accounting system and handling FCRA and Non FCRA funds
• Good in Computer competency and good knowledge of Excel
• Good in English and local language of the state, both written and oral essential.
Core competencies:
• Good Knowledge and practice in Tally versions
• Good working knowledge in Excel
• Good knowledge of FCRA and other IT Legal Compliance
• Commitment for the long-term association
• Good service track record in all previous organizatios
• Comfortable in time-to-time outside traveling
Salary: Rs. 30,000/- PM (Presently for 6 Months piloting Phase)
