Mahila Samagra Utthan Samiti, Daltonganj, invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Project/Block Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Implementation & Coordination:
o Ensure the smooth execution of all project activities, including Training of Team Member village leaders, PRI members, and Gram Panchayat officials on local governance, welfare and rights.
o Coordinate with teams responsible for organizing traditional knowledge-sharing meetings and ensuring accurate documentation of tribal practices and PVTG issues.
2. Training & Capacity Building:
o Organize and conduct training sessions for community leaders, PRI members, and Forest Rights Committees (FRCs).
o Facilitate capacity-building workshops for community members on generating demand and preparing applications for social security schemes such as MGNREGA, NFSA, and NFAP.
3. Forest Rights Act, Social Security Schemes & MGNREGA:
o Manage claims for Community and Individual Forest Rights, oversee Forest Management, identify vulnerable families eligible for social welfare schemes, and ensure their linkage with NFSA, NFAP (pension schemes), and MGNREGA programs.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of activities, outputs, and outcomes, ensuring documentation is up-to-date.
o Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that highlight progress, challenges, and recommendations for improving the project's impact.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Liaise with government bodies at the block, sub-division, and district levels to facilitate the approval and follow-up of forest rights claims and social welfare entitlements.
o Engage with external stakeholders, including NGOs and civil society organizations, to foster collaboration and share resources and expertise.
6. Monitoring & Evaluation:
o Track progress against project objectives and indicators as outlined in the results framework.
7. Qualifications:
o A Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field.
o Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, community development, or rural governance.
o Strong understanding of tribal culture, forest rights, and social security schemes.
o Experience working with government institutions, civil society organizations, and local communities.
o Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
8. Preferred Skills:
o Proficiency in Hindi, English, and local languages, along with an understanding of tribal communities.
o Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
