Job Description

We seek an experienced Operations Manager to oversee Sajag’s operations and ensure smooth and efficient processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of optimizing operational performance.

Location: Kalyan, Dist. Thane, Maharashtra


Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Mentoring

? Develop and implement a comprehensive M&E framework, including indicators, data collection tools, and reporting mechanisms, aligned with organizational goals and donor requirements.

? Establish baseline data and targets for program indicators to track progress over time.

? Conduct Weekly/Monthly reviews with the team to track progress and guide them.

Reporting and Documentation

? Prepare timely and accurate reports on program progress, results, and impact for internal and external stakeholders, including donors, partners, and government agencies.

? Develop and maintain a centralized database or information management system to store, manage, and analyze program data.

? Document best practices, case studies, and success stories to showcase program achievements and lessons learned.

Training and Capacity Buidling

? Provide training and assistance to the team based on the training needs.

? Facilitate learning sessions and workshops to promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the organization.

? Collaborate with program managers and staff to integrate M&E findings into program planning, decision-making, and strategy development.

? Oversee financial management processes, including budgeting and financial reporting.

? Monitor expenses, analyze financial data, and identify areas for effective budget utilization.

Program Operations Support:

? Collaborate with program managers to support program operations and implementation.

? Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets.

? Monitor project progress and performance metrics, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

? Coordinate logistical support for events, workshops, and other program activities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

? Liaise with external stakeholders, including donors, partners, and government agencies.

? Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to enhance collaboration and support for the NGO's mission.

? Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other events as required.

The above key responsibilities ensure effective program implementation through strong M&E frameworks, team capacity building, and stakeholder engagement. Regular reporting, financial oversight, and collaboration will drive transparency, accountability, and alignment with organizational goals.


Qualifications:

? Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

? Proven experience in operations management or a similar role, with a minimum of [insert number] years of relevant experience.

? Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

? Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

? Proficiency in project management tools and software.

? Solid understanding of financial management principles and budgeting.

? Willingness to travel to schools, government offices, and community locations as needed.

Working Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday

Education is one such domain where such gap of ‘information and opportunity’ exists. Our programmes aim in building capacities of students and thus providing them an opportunity for their future. These students who are first generation learners will be a role model for others in their community. Through our collaboration with their parents, schools, volunteers, we have been able to provide the educational support and there has been significant improvement in their learning levels. SAJAG started in 2016 with a group of 7 students in a community. That grew into 25 within a year. Currently, we are working with 106 students across various standards.
