Job Designation - Accountant Cum MIS officer

JOB LOCATION – Ara, Bhojpur (Bihar)

BHOJPUR MAHILA KALA KENDRA.

The Accountant will work closely with the Project Head and team to plan, execute, and finalize weekly project activities to be conducted in adjoining communities. Prepare weekly and monthly reports. He/she will be responsible for overall implementation project activities related to Livelihoods.

Desired Qualification: M.Com/B.Com Degree from a reputed Board/University with 10-12 years of work experience in the development sector (NGOs).

The Candidate should possess excellent knowledge of operating Tally and MS-Office package.

Languages: Sound knowledge of speaking, reading and writing in Hindi and English is essential.

Job Roles and Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing accounting documentation including voucher preparation.

• Preparing monthly and quarter wise statement of expenditure

• Prepare budget utilization statement of funding agencies.

• Responsible for keeping the accounts, financial statement like receipt & payments, Variance reports, budgets, TDS, bank reconciliation statements.

• Keep all reimbursement records in order for accounting and tax evaluation Purposes.

• Assistance during internal audit, statutory audit and statutory filings with various departments.

• For program related procurement provide guidance to the concerned person in the preparation of the procurement requests, provide professional advice and assistance to programme management team on various aspects of financial management.

• Tract and report key functional metrics to reduce expense and improve effectiveness in procurement.

• Maintaining appropriate files/records/ documents towards meeting legal and statutory requirements.

• Any other office related jobs, suggested or as required by project officer for the project.

Salary – Rs. 25,000 per month.
