Job Description for Expert MHM Trainers
Title: Expert Trainer, Menstrual Health Management (MHM) and BCC Program
Objective: To lead and provide expert-level training in Menstrual Health and Hygiene as part of the BCC & MHM program, ensuring effective delivery of training content and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct and oversee the Training of Trainers (TOT) sessions in Telugu, Hindi and English.
• Develop and update the training curriculum and session plans focusing on menstrual health and hygiene.
• Monitor and support the implementation of training at various schools.
• Lead discussions on scientific aspects of menstrual health, hygiene management, and maternal health.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and make recommendations for improvements.
• Conduct baseline, midline, and endline surveys, analysing data to assess the impact of the program.
• Monitoring and Evaluation of the projects.
• Prepare detailed reports on training outcomes and survey results in English/Telugu as needed.
• Serve as a guide to school staff participating in the program.
• Coordinate with the concerned organisation for consistent program execution and reporting.
• Coordinate with school administrators and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of the MHM program across different levels.
• Liaise with the Aakar team and other external partners for program planning, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Guide for school personnel on constructing and maintaining compost pits specifically for sanitary pads.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of TOT sessions under the supervision of expert trainers.
• Help in the development and distribution of training materials, handouts, and tools.
• Participate in the organization and facilitation of residential training programs.
• Collect and compile data from baseline, midline, and endline surveys.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and feedback forms from training sessions.
• Provide support to trainers during the training sessions and help address participants’ queries.
• Help maintain regular communication with school staff and trainers to coordinate ongoing training activities.
• Support to finance team for record maintenance, clarification and settling the program accounts
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in training and capacity building in health education, preferably in MHM.
• Strong command of Telugu (reading and writing), Hindi and English.
• Proven ability to handle training programs and manage large groups.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Travel Requirement: Must be willing to travel frequently to different training locations.
